THE former Citizens Advice offices in Peebles have been converted into two new social housing flats.

Eildon Housing bought the Old Town building following the relocation of CAB last year.

And work finished last month on creating two spaces apartments.

A spokeswoman for Eildon told the Peeblesshire News: “The conversion has allowed the property to be divided into two well-proportioned one bedroom flats close to all amenities in the Old Town area of Peebles.

“The conversion of the former CAB office and the upper floor of the building which had been lying vacant for a considerable time, now provides much needed homes at affordable rents.” The renovation work has been supported by the Scottish Government and Scottish Borders Council and is the latest Eildon project to create new affordable homes across the Borders.
