SCOTLAND'S oldest inhabited house is to play host to the country's newest high-adrenaline activity - rolling about in a giant plastic ball.
Traquair House and the Tweed Valley Consortium have both delivered a warm welcome to Rolling Haggis - the region's new Zorbing business.
The activity consists of you and a friend being rolled down a hill near to Traquair House while strapped in to a plastic ball.
Rolling Haggis offers the choice of two rides. You can choose to either strap yourself in the Harness Haggis or opt for the Hydro Haggis where you try to stay standing in 20 litres of water as you roll downhill at 30mph.
And the action begins Saturday July 17, and each Saturday thereafter until the end of August.
Catherine Maxwell Stuart, owner of Traquair House, said: "We are delighted to have been able to help Rolling Haggis set up so near to Traquair House and see lots of opportunities for us to work together.
"I am delighted to see this innovative new activity company set up at Traquair. Not only do we expect to work together but it will enhance the whole activity and adventure offering we have in the Tweed Valley"
This message of support is further echoed by the local business community.
Sarah MacDonald, of the Tweed Valley Consortium, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Rolling Haggis to the Tweed Valley Consortium. Zorbing sounds a great fun activity and I am sure many members of the consortium will be lining up to have a go.
"The business is a welcome addition to the area and we wish them every success."
James Clayton-Jones, managing director of Rolling Haggis, said: "It is wonderful to have received such great support from the Tweed Valley Consortium and Catherine at Traquair House.
" We look forward to a fun-filled summer and working with others in the Tweed valley area."
