No further action against MSP
PEEBLESSHIRE MSP Chrstine Grahame has been found to have misused Holyrood resources during this year's election campaign.
The SNP politician defeated Lib Dem Jeremy Purvis at the polls in May.
But following an investigation by the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB) Ms Grahame was found to have breached the reimbursement of expenses scheme and also the MSPs Code of Conduct.
The same investigation did not uphold all the allegations made by her former employee, Mark Hirst, but found three emails indicated a misuse of resources.
A letter from the SPCB stated the emails "relate to significant party political activity which should not have been conducted using parliamentary resources. On behalf of the SPCB, the Presiding Officer has written to Ms Grahame conveying its strong disapproval that she has misused parliamentary resources in this way and asking her to ensure that no further misuse of resource occurs."
Ms Grahame's office issued a statement earlier this week saying she was pleased the SPCB was taking no further action.
