Peeblesshire Police stations raking in the groundskeeping costs
STRIMMING, pruning and trimming are among many of the gardening duties that have cost Peeblesshire Police stations a whopping £4500 since January.
Peebles Police station has raked up a £2040 bill where as Innerleithen has dug up £2460 in gardening charges in the last nine months.
But the receipt also includes groundskeeping - which can be anything from sweeping pathways to wiping down windows.
With the window cleaning for Peebles and Innerleithen coming in at a more modest £99.50.
Selkirkshire Police stations also planted thousands in the Police's budget, but managed to cut some costs - with Galashiels costing £1365 and Selkirk £1560.
