THE SCOTTISH Borders Warden Team carried out a high profile visit to Innerleithen and Walkerburn a fortnight ago.

The patrols took place on September 26 between 8am and 4pm and the team of wardens covered known problem areas.

They witnessed 18 dog walkers picking up after their pets, and no Fixed Penalty Notices were issued.

Keith Taylor, Senior SB Warden said: "The Wardens spoke to numerous members of the public and dog walkers over the day who were pleased with our presence in both areas.

"We plan to revisit the towns with similar patrols in the future."
