A NURSE from Peebles was all smiles this week after meeting the Queen - at Buckingham Palace in London.

Fiona Taylor, a Ward Sister at Edinburgh Cancer Centre, was presented with an MBE for 'Services to cancer nursing and care in the Lothians'.

She was joined at the ceremony by her very proud mum Elizabeth, her sister Brenda and her brother-in-law Alan.
