BBQ causing a stir in Lamancha
A NEW barbeque hut is causing a stir among residents in Lamancha.
The Finnish made building was bought by the local community centre with funding left over from a recent lottery award.
It can seat up to 16 people and provide shelter from all weathers.
Welcoming the hut, Lamancha Hub director Cilla Davidson said: "We had money left over from a previous lottery award which had to be spent by a certain date.
"We asked the local community for ideas and they came up with the idea of a barbeque hut which could be used all year round.
"It is a Finnish made building and can now be hired out to members of the community at any time of the year. The money will be recycled into the community and has the potential to become a real community hub.
"The people from the lottery were delighted with our suggestion, the building was also opened to the public during the recent Christmas fayre and has attracted a great deal of interest."
