AN unusual take on one of Shakespeare’s most enduring plays proved a real crowd puller at Kailzie Gardens in Peebles.
Macbeth was performed in the grounds of the beautiful gardens by Handlebards, a group of four men who had toured the UK carrying all their props on bikes.
“It was a magical evening in the gardens - a great success - and I am sure we could have sold at least 100 more tickets,” said Kailzie owner Lady Angela Buchan-Hepburn.
“We had a perfect summer evening with the audience bringing picnics and sitting at the garden tables and music provided by the Tweeddale Folk Group.
“The Handlebards do Shakespeare differently - performing with eight very sore legs and using their bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on stage.”
