A MAN has died in an incident in Clydebank.

Officers have taken over a section of Kilbowie Road, close to Cleddans Bar, just along from Adriano’s fish and chip shop.

Police Scotland said the force received a report of a disturbance in Radnor Street involving four people at around 5.45pm on Sunday.

Emergency services attended and two men, aged 31 and 34, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries. However, the 31-year-old died a short time later.

The 34 year-old man remains in hospital in a critical condition.

A 45-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3416 of Sunday, August 5 2018.

McColl’s Travel issued a short statement to its customers this morning.

The coach company said: “Due to a police incident, the bus stop at Kilbowie Road/Drumry Road will not be served on our service 184 for the remainder of the day.”

Locals have expressed concern over the scale of the incident.

One man wrote on social media: “I drove by on the way home from work and it was like a police convention with about 15 police vehicles and they had cordoned off a huge area, from Adriano’s to the hub.”
