A BUTLER to the stars is throwing a lifeline to ten young Scots from deprived backgrounds.

Simeon Rosset - owner of The Rosset Butler Academy - is giving away £100,000 worth of butler training free of change to those who need it the most.

Simeon is one of the most experienced and sought-after butlers around, having worked for A-list celebrities, royalty, dukes and duchesses, oil companies and banks.

Hes served HRH The Princess Alexandra, Luciano Pavarotti and Tony Blair.

Now, he’s looking to pass on his experience to ten Scots aged 18 to 25.

Successful candidates do not need any previous experience as they’ll spend four weeks in either Edinburgh or Angus where they will be trained in every aspect of what it is to be a top-level butler.

Candidates will learn service at table, care of antique silver, looking after a gentleman’s wardrobe, etiquette and protocol, PA duties, house management and much more.

As an added bonus, living costs will be covered too.

At the end of it all, the butlers will get a personal letter of recommendation, a photo booklet showing their progress and skills, a certificate of completion and will be personally introduced to a top London agency to help them on their way in a new career.
