THE fantastic and fantasy world of Narnia comes to Walkerburn next weekend with an exciting new dramatic take on a C. S. Lewis classic.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will weave its magic in Walkerburn Hall on Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29.
Featuring a host of talented and enthusiastic local youngsters and aimed at a family audience, it is the latest production from the community-based Oyster Theatre Company which had a sell-out success back in December with the pantomime Snow White. The show is directed by Sue Tickner and also boasts a strong adult cast, including Angus Wolfe Murray as Asian the lion and true lord of Narnia, Kinta Lindsay as the tyrannical White Witch and Keith Lomas and Marie Therese Connolly as the well-meaning Mr and Mrs Beaver.
The curtain goes up at 7.30pm on both evenings, with a Saturday matinee starting at 2.30pm.
Tickets (£6/£4) are available from Innerleithen Thrift Shop and Walkerburn Post Office or at the door.
