WALKERBURN Festival went out with a bang.
A large cast of characters competed for fancy dress fame to start the evening’s festivities, which ended with a fireworks show.
Best in show went to Cat in the Hat by Eilidh Macleod, aged eight, five-year-old Skye Connor, and Summer Spence, also aged 8.
Following the judging the silver band, proceeded by the pipe band, led the fancy dress parade.
As dusk fell, torches were lit, the band struck up and led villagers to the fire site where Skye Houston was first to throw on her lit torch.
