MAKING dance moves like a Disney princess will be all part of the show when West Linton youngsters travel to Paris next summer.

Thirty-five dancers, aged from four to sixteen, who have been accepted to perform as part of Disneyland Paris’s Performing Arts Program in 2015 and need to raise more than £6,500 for the once in a lifetime trip. The dancers will be taking part in workshops led by the staff and characters at Disneyland followed by a performance show-casing Highland, Jazz, Street and Lyrical style dance.

The trip is the dream of their teacher 30-year-old Lousie Gibb principal of Dance@Studio 21 who runs regular classes in the village on Wednesday afternoons.

Louise said: “It is the most ambitious thing I have done since I started teaching nine years ago and was inspired by my own seven years dancing in shows at the Edinburgh Tattoo.

“They will be at Disneyland from July 27 to 30, but the show is only an hour long so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the rides and they get reduced rates at the hotel.

“Most will be taking parents and family to watch their performance.

“In the run up to this event, the children will be taking part in a variety of events to help raise money to cover extra costs and enable them to take part in this fantastic opportunity.”
