“TWELVE Silver Scouts” happened in West Linton on the 12th Day of Christmas as a dozen Cub Scouts from West Linton Scout Group were recently presented with their Chief Scout Silver Awards - this is the highest award achievable within the Cub Scout section and represents three years of commitment and hard work from the boys.

Thanks to three new volunteer leaders coming forward, West Linton Scout Troop will be restarting on Monday evenings at West Linton Primary School.

In the UK there are around half a million boys and girls aged 11-14 participating in scouting activities such as map reading, camp cooking, first aid and many other outdoor activities.

Anyone interested in joining the Scout section in West Linton should email the following address: westlintonscoutgroup@gmail.com - everyone welcome.
