THE Village Green at West Linton became a running track on Saturday when a group of local dancers took part in a sponsored run.
The girls from DanceStudio21 are dancing at Disneyland Paris in July and were aiming to raise funds for costumes.
Disneyland Paris lies 723 miles from West Linton, as the crow flies, so the brave girls decided to run 723 laps of the Green.
Aided by friends and family - and passers-by who were persuaded to walk a lap or two - they raised a grand total of £1100.
Tea, coffee and home baking were enjoyed by all and the girls would like to thank everyone who came along. The next event is a Ladies Clothes Swishing Night at the Graham Institute on Friday, May 15.
They are currently collected donations of good quality ladies clothes, handbags and shoes for the event to be handed in to West Linton Post Office.
