A DRIVER has suffered minor injuries after a single-vehicle collision on a Peeblesshire road this morning.

The incident occurred around 7am on the A701 between Lamancha and Station Road, West Linton.

The road was shut to traffic for just under two hours while police and the emergency services attended the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Peeblesshire News: "The incident was reported to police at around 7.20am this morning.

"The male driver suffered a minor injury and was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (ERI) as a precaution.

"The road was closed from Leadburn at around 8am and re-opened at 9.55am."
