A WEST Linton artist has put her best brush forward to host a a charity exhibition.

Heather Mclennan will be showcasing and selling her work in the Village Centre all day this Saturday, to help raise funds for the charity 'For Frazer's Sake'.

Money from the exhibition will go towards the charity, which was set up in memory of a friend of Heather's, Frazer Allan.

Frazer was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and was given only nine months to live in October 2016, but after some research, his family found a site in Thailand which offers a 'pioneering type of treatment'.

After spending several weeks getting treatment in Thailand earlier this year, Frazer sadly passed away a month ago.

Heather has set up the exhibition to help his family raise money to pay off the bill for the last of his cancer treatment, by selling some of her very-own Highland art framed prints. She is renowned for her colourful canvas creations of animals and the countryside.

The art exhibition and sale will take place from 11am to 5pm at West Linton's Village Centre.
