LINTON Hotspur have reached half-way in their Crowdfunding appeal to help move into their new home.

The West Linton amateur club hope to raise £7,500 towards installing access and changing facilities at New Moor Road.

With over 100 members, from pre-school players to seniors approaching 50, the club recently secured a 99-year lease on the land.

Vice chairman Ivan Mackenzie said: “What an amazing start and amazing support so far.

“There seems to be a real buzz around the village at the moment. Everyone at the club are really appreciated by all the pledges so far.

Crowdfunder is the UK’s largest rewards-based crowdfunding network, having launched more than 4000 projects and raised over £2 million for worthy causes.

The club are offering a list of rewards to potential sponsors in return for pledges towards their campaign.

One supporter said: “It’s great having a football team in the village.
