PEEBLES Ladies enjoyed their Annual Dinner and presentation night a fortnight ago to bring the season to a close.

In addition to the 2015 winners being presented with their trophies, the end-of-season awards were announced as follows:

Lady Margaret Trophy/Betty Smith Trophy (most improved player in Bronze Division) - Linsey Wright.

Eclectic Trophy - Elizabeth White.

SLGA Medals (four best net scores in Medal competitions) - Sheila Cuthbertson (Silver)/Lilian Smith (Bronze).

Club Medals (best placings in Medal competitions) - Patricia Wood (Silver)/Lilian Smith (Bronze).

Meanwhile, there was a packed clubhouse for last Saturday’s Junior Presentation Night, as youngsters and their families celebrated the many achievements of the junior section this season.

Star man Darren Howie was unable to attend having been on a Scotland Boys Squad training camp in St Andrews, but many of those eager to follow in his footsteps gathered to receive their awards.

Steven Findlay was presented with the Boys Championship, while Fearghas Lowther and Fraser Imlah were the evening’s other big winners, collecting a number of trophies apiece.

Junior Convenor Gavin Carruthers gave junior volunteer Maureen Haig a worthy mention to acknowledge her 26 of years of service to the junior section, while nine-year-old Chris Thomson was presented with the Maureen Haig Award for Most Improved ClubGolf Junior, beating off stiff competition from the club’s up and coming group of Level 2 ClubGolfers.
