WEST LINTON'S Chris O'Hare returned to winning ways at the weekend in his adopted home city of Boston.
The 25-year-old faced an elite field in the invitational mile through the city's streets on his first competitive race since finishing eighth in the World Indoor Championships last month.
In a tactical race, in front of huge crowds, the Scottish indoor mile record holder kicked on the final bend to break the tape in a time of 4.10 minutes - a couple of metres clear of Kemoy Campbell and Trevor Dunbar.
Speaking after the race Chris said: "I kept winding it up and winding it up and I made my move at the turn."
Chris will spend the next three weeks in training ahead of racing in Germany next month in search of Olympic qualification time.
And he will return to the UK towards the end of June to compete in Birmingham at the British Championships.
