THIS year's Gypsy Glen Hill Race will have added significance.
The annual 5 miles run from Peebles, which includes 1,000 feet of climbing, has been included in the inaugural Scottish Borders Hill Race Series.
Wednesday's race, which is organised by the Moorfooot Runners, starts in Victoria Park at 7pm.
Colin Williams from the Moorfoots told us: "There is a flatter section before the sting in the tail so it is a good challenge for seasoned fell runners and those looking to try a hill race for the first time.
"The race is kindly sponsored by The Freewheelin' Brewery Company."
Registration takes place at the Gytes Leisure Centre from 6pm.
The Gypsy Glen Hill Race is the second run in this summer's Scottish Borders Hill Race Series.
The best five results from any of the 10 count.
There was a good turnout at Chapelgill, near Broughton, for the first race with Andrew Cox, from Innerleithen, looking to cement his lead in the series.
