A TOTAL of 14 teams from all over the Borders played at Minto golf course on Sunday in Border Ladies County Golf Association championship.
Despite difficult conditions Selkirk's team of Carol Purves, Martine Pow, Alison Rutherford, Diane Cassidy produced a score of 246 to claim the Scratch title.
The Hirsel 2 team of Mandy Lunn, Rineke Sangster, Rachael Wigmore and Karen McKinlay emerged as the Handicap winners.
There were golfers from Duns, Torwoodlee, Minto, Kelso, Melrose, Peebles, Selkirk, Roxburghe and The Hirsel.
Tara McTaggart from Minto was the Silver winner of the Longest Drive at the ninth hole.
And Sheila Horsburgh of Peebles took the Bronze trophy for her drive.
Roxburghe's Fiona Kerr was nearest the pin at the 17th in the Silver Section with Doreen Pringle of Kelso claiming the Bronze prize.
Julie Birdsall, secretary of the Border Ladies County Golf Association, told us: "A huge thanks to Minto Golf Club for allowing us courtesy of the course on Sunday."
The next Border Ladies competition is the Commonwealth Spoons at Selkirk on July 31.
