BIRTHDAY boy Struan Wells picked up a £150 gift on Saturday by breaking the tape in the Morebattle Youths Sprint.
The 14-year-old from the Leithenburn club blasted down the track to win the 90 metres championship from training partner Sam Archibald.
Fellow Leithenburn runner Luke Rathie finished sixth in the same final.
Rathie was also sixth in the final of the 200 metres, finishing just behind team-mate Aaron Glendinning.
