The Peebles Ladies team at the Belfry
A QUARTET of Peebles ladies enjoyed a dream trip to The Belfry last weekend, the former home of the Ryder Cup.
Margaret Fleming, Sheila Cuthbertson, June-Anne Clark and Angela Biscomb all qualified for the final of the prestigious American Golf National Ladies Championship having won through the regional qualifying at Peebles earlier this summer.
The ladies couldn’t quite make it onto the prize list, but they enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Midlands, experiencing the famous driveable par four 10th hole, and the dramatic 18th hole, where Christie O’Connor memorably helped Europe to victory over the USA.
