FOOTBALLERS and their friends in West Linton got on their bikes last weekend to raise vital funds for the local football club's new facilities.
Just over £1700 was raised in the exhausting 24-hour cycle challenge.
Ivan Mackenzie, Vice Chairman of Linton Hotspur, told the Peeblesshire News: "We would like to thank everybody who participated in Hotspur's 24-hour cycle challenge and for everyone's generous donations.
"We raised amazing an £1701.97, which is a fantastic achievement.
"Special thanks must go to Hazel Kinghorn, who coordinated the event.
"Once again thank you for your generosity and for your continued support and encouragement, all of which is greatly appreciated by the club."
The village football club secured a 99-year lease on land at New Moor Road last year.
With over 100 members, from pre-school players to seniors approaching 50, the club has been fundraising non-stop to provide the best facilities at its new park.
Last weekend's 24-hour cycle challenge was started by Campbell Forsyth? and Hazel taking the first one-hour slots.
Supporters and players of all ages took to the saddle throughout Friday and Saturday.
