PEEBLES S2 started its campaign in this season’s Scottish Schools’ Cup with a runaway win over neighbours Beeslack.
The match was unfortunate in bringing together a highly experienced Peebles outfit, finalists in last year’s Scottish Youth Cup, against first time entry Beesclack, with both teams having to make the best of it but neither really gaining.
Peebles plays Edinburgh’s St George’s and Firrhill in the same group, with the overall winner of the group securing a place in the gold section of the Schools’ championship moving forward.
