ROUND eight of the Border Adult Netball League took place on Sunday in Peebles.
Bottom ranked Pumas, with no wins to date, were delighted to break their duck, snatching victory from the Tigers and moving two places up the table in doing so.
Gala Vixens also pulled out the stops to secure their win over rivals Earlston, with some fine mid-court attack on display.
The third match brought together the two Stobo-sponsored teams, with top ranked Dragons rattled by the Arrows at times, but the victory never in doubt overall.
The most exciting match of the day saw underdogs Storm taking an early lead over higher ranked Hotshots, and maintaining this until the closing minutes. A more concerted effort from the Hotshots finally turned the match result to their favour, but the victory could have gone either way.
Next Border Adult Netball League is on Sunday, December 11 at Peebles High School, with matches starting at 1.15pm.
