BORDERS swimmers were making waves at the weekend as they raced their way to medals and PBs at Round 2 of the East District Age Group meeting in Glenrothes.

And one Peebles swimmer followed up her round one success by winning yet again.

Jodie Pyman, who is supported by Clubsport Tweeddale, took her season's tally to two golds and a silver after landing the Under 15s 200 metres Butterfly final.

The 14-year-old had also qualified for the final of the 200 metres freestyle, where she finished sixth.

Another Peebles swimmer also qualified for the final of the Under 13s 200 metres Butterfly.

Kate Banner, who is 12, finished sixth behind her Borders Elite Swimming Team mate Laura Frizzel.

Fellow Peebles swimmers Elouise Farndon and Freddie Mudge narrowly missed out reaching their respective finals in the Glenrothes pool.

The Borders Elite Swimming Team competed in a total of 46 races - with their swimmers recording an amazing 37 new best times.

As well as Jodie and Laura's golds, Sarah Frizzel also triumphed in the Under 16s 200 metres breaststroke.

Erika Coupek swam well to take silver in the Under 15s 200 metres backstroke, just ahead of team-mate Lindsay Jack who won bronze.

Erika also earned a bronze medal in the final of the 200 metres freestyle.

And their was a podium place for Lizzie Clelland as she touched third in the final of the Under 16s freestyle.

The Borders Elite Swimming Team will now focus on the East Regional finals next month at the Royal Commonwealth Pool.
