PEEBLES Rovers picked up their biggest win of the season on Saturday - outside Castle Warehouse.
The local department store has been keeping the 5ps from carrier bag charging in its very own big jar over the past six months.
And at the weekend staff from the Old Town store presented players with a cheque for £177.
Rovers manager Ger Rossie is delighted with the backing.
He told the Peeblesshire News: "Since I became manager we have made giant strides in in recruiting local players so it is heartening that local businesses are also supporting us.
"We believe that the future is bright for Peebles football however without this kind of backing and support, our senior side would cease to exist.
"The contribution will go a long way in helping the club."
Peebles Rovers currently site eighth in the East of Scotland League and a win tomorrow against Tynecastle could taken them into the top six.
Castle Warehouse will continue collecting 5ps from the bag charges.
The next club to benefit will be Peebles Netball.
