THE organisers of the famous TweedLove festival are ditching their bikes... for one day only.
The latest event to join Britain's biggest bike bonanza is a trail race on foot.
And the Glentress 11 Trail Run has already attracted a major sponsorship deal with well established Swiss outdoor clothing brand Odlo.
TweedLove director Neil Dalgleish told us: "With so many cyclists also keen runners, it made sense to add an option for people to run here too – Glentress is a beautiful place to run.
"Bringing runners into the festival will just make it all even better – it’s going to be a great weekend!”
The Odlo Glentress 11, is an 11km run which uses a similar course to TweedLove’s mountain bike trail event, the Glentress Seven - now Scotland’s most popular cross country bike event.
The Zurich-based clothing firm Odlo is delighted to be backing the race.
Odlo’s UK manager Phillip Weston said: “We are delighted to back such a unique event which brings people together who have a shared passion for performance sports.
"The event reaches such a wide variety of cyclists and runners from across the UK”
The Odlo Glentress 11 takes place on Friday, May 26.
