THEY had plenty to celebrate at this year's annual Peebles Netball awards.

Now in its 12th year, the club has grown from relatively small beginnings to become one of the major forces in Scottish youth netball.

And, as was evident from the vast array of national and domestic trophies being presented last week, Peebles has maintained its place at the elite table of the sport.

Peebles Netball director and head coach Linda Nicholson compered the evening and was also on hand to present several of the team and individual honours.

As Coach Nicholson highlighted, 2017/18 has been another memorable chapter in the success story of Peebles Netball.

And she paid tribute to the club's most recent national and regional representatives - Cerys Finn, Jess Mitchell, Emma Latto, Ruby Finn, Abbie Sorrell and Hannah Little.

Players from all age groups contributed to the vast array of silverware that was on show.

And there was also special presentations to the newly qualified coaches and umpires - Bryony Patterson, Kazya Stevens, Hannah Little, Lucy Gray and Sarah Wallace - who are key to keeping Peebles at the top of national netball.

There was also a special presentation for Faye Nicholson for 'Exceptional Services to Peebles Netball'.

Sponsors Stobo Castle, Scott Motors, Tweed Valley Physiotherapy, Brown and Out, and Caldwell’s Homemade Icecream were also thanked.

And Coach Nicholson also highlighted the support from Live Borders and the staff at the Gytes and Peebles High School, led by Steven Watts.
