LANGLEE Amateurs remain in the Scottish Amateur Cup thanks to a comeback from Cubbs Turnbull.

Former Stow and Gala Rovers man Turnbull dusted off his boots to find the net for Langlee in a 4-4 draw at Markinch in Fife.

Des Sutherland predictably scored another hat-trick, with the replay this Saturday at Netherdale.

Gary Waddell and Dean Carruthers scored for Greenlaw as they notched an impressive 2-0 win at Beechwood Albion in Stirling, who had two men sent off, while Dean McColm fired in the only goal as Hawick Waverley edged past Carluke Hearts.

But Gala Thistle, Gala Hotspur and Leithen Rovers all suffered first round defeats.

In Division A, Sam Kelly and Sean Clarke scored doubles as they defeated struggling Chirnside United 4-2, and Gordon continued their impressive start by also winning 4-2 at Tweeddale Rovers, as Craig Livingston and Kevin Utterson both scored two.

Jed Legion remain winless as they surrendered a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3 at Langholm Legion, as Dan Winter fired in a treble for Legion.

Earlston Rhymers and Lauder both suffered 7-0 hammerings at the hands of Hawick Legion and Berwick Colts respectively in Division B.

And there were also wins for Duns Amateurs and Kelso Thistle, while Kieran Hume scored two for Coldstream Amateurs in their 2-2 draw at Tweedmouth Amateurs.

Gala Fairydean Rovers Amateurs put up a brave fight against much fancied Tweedmouth Harrow before going down 4-2 at Netherdale 3G Arena, with Jonny Simpson claiming a hat-trick in Division C.

Selkirk Victoria got back to winning ways as Morgan Young, Scott Learmond and Kerr Mclelland scored in a 3-2 victory over Highfields United to move to third in the league.

Melrose threw away a three goal lead to draw 4-4 with Hawick Legion Rovers, with Aidan Mckendrick again notching a hat-trick for Melrose.

Ancrum and St Boswells both recorded 7-0 wins in the remaining Division C matches.
