As part of the Glasgow International event, national relay finals were also held betweeen some of the major races.

And Ellie anchored Edinburgh AC to gold in the Under 13s 4 x 200 metres in front of a packed Emirates Arena.

During the main competition Berwickshire’s Cameron Tindle set a new personal best as he finished third.

The 16-year-old was the youngest member of the Scotland team. Tindle recorded 6.94 in the 60 metres to finish in third behind France’s Emmanuel Biron.

Guy Learmonth, who trains with Tindle at the Henry Gray school in Eyemouth, finished second on his return to the track.

The 22-year-old finished a metre down on Germany’s Robin Schembera to claim second in the 800 metres.

Chirnside’s Patrick Swan also collected silver after anchoring the four by 400 metres relay team to second behind Great Britain.
