EVERGREEN sprinter Linda Nicholson landed two British titles at last weekend's UK Indoor Championships in London.
The 50-year-old mum-of-two was taking part in the national Masters Championships for the first time.
And the reigning age-group Scottish Indoor champion blasted away her rivals to break the tape in the 60 metres.
And later in the same day leaped to another gold in the long jump.
A delighted Linda told the Peeblesshire News: "In the past the UK Championships have clashed with other things and I've not been able to go - I'm delighted I managed to get there this time.
"It's nice to be the UK champion at both the sprint and the long jump."
Linda was just outside her personal best on the Lee Valley track when she clocked 8.80 seconds in the 60 metres final.
But she matched the distance of 4.57 metres, which won her gold in February at the Kelvin Hall for the Scottish title, in the long jump.
Linda will now start preparing for the Scottish and UK outdoor championships in the summer.
