WEST Linton teenager Olivia O'Hare is in the running to land a top athletics award.
The 16-year-old 800 and 1500 metres Scottish champion has been shortlisted for the Daily Record's Young Athlete of the Year award.
Olivia is amongst a dozen of the country's brightest young starts of track and field.
And it will all depend on a public vote as to who will lift the coveted trophy later this month at the Aviva International meeting in Glasgow.
At the moment hammer thrower Kimberley Reed and middle-distance athlete Max Aitchison are out in front but Peeblesshire News readers can turn it around in the home straight.
