She will be joined in the 200 and 400 starting line-ups by Jedburgh’s Sophie Elder.

In the men’s long jump Dolphinton’s Jordan Charters and Berwickshire teenager Freddie Rooke will also be competing.

Fresh from his fifth place in the final of the Commonwealth Games 800 metres, Berwickshire’s Guy Learmonth will line up as favourite in the two-laps race.

And Chirnside’s Pat Swan will be hoping for a return to the form which took him to the 400 metres title.
