UNBEATEN Tweeddale Rovers survived a Scottish Amateur Cup scare on Saturday in front of their seasoned sponsors.

All of the local companies who have continued to back the Border Amateur club were on the sidelines for the match with Dysart.

And they watched a thrilling fightback by Jimmy Moffat and Rab Stewart's team to edge out Dysart by three goals to one.

Co-Manager Moffat was delighted with the win as well as the continued sponsorship. He told us: "Without the support of these local companies we'd struggle to keep going - we really appreciate everything they do for us.

"We didn't start well on Saturday but we deserved our win in the end."

Kateryn Ronaldson from Evolution Bottling and Packaging Solutions handed over new training tops for the team before kick off.

Strip sponsors Scot Light were also on hand to deliver new tracksuits.

And local solicitor estate agents Cullen Kilshaw delivered warm-up tops.

Tweeddale Rovers are also supported by Tweeddale Garage, who sponsor the post-match shirts, and the Crown Hotel, who provide the after-game hospitality.
