A Craig Livingstone double kept Gordon on course for their first ever Waddell Cup triumph.

The ex-Selkirk and Gala Fairydean striker bagged a brace in the 6-0 rout of depleted Earlston Rhymers and will now face Tweedmouth Amateurs in the last eight of the competition.

Jed Legion, Hawick Waverley and Tweeddale Rovers all advanced into the last four of the Beveridge Cup thanks to a series of dramatic victories.

Waverley came from behind to beat Chirnside United for the second week in a row.

United went 2-0 ahead at the start of the second half thanks to Daniel Pattenden’s goals but Hawick responded strongly to win 5-3 with Dean McColm and Scott Craig both scoring doubles.

Newtown had Stuart Tuddenham and Scott Leitch sent off but were only denied by a last minute extra time goal by Tweeddale, while Connor Dickson marked his first start of the season with two goals as Jed beat Greenlaw.

Macauley Steele's double led Lauder into the semi-finals of the Walls Cup in a 3-2 win over Gala Hotspur, and Brian Mattinson also scored two as Langholm Legion thumped St Boswells 6-0.

And there were also extra time Walls Cup wins for Duns Amateurs and Tweedmouth Amateurs.

In the Sanderson Cup quarter finals, Gala Fairydean Rovers progressed against neighbours Gala Thistle 4-1, with Jason McIntosh scoring two.

Des Sutherland, Stuart Harkness and Johnny Crawford gave Langlee Amateurs a narrow 4-3 win over Berwick Colts, and Highfields United also advanced into the semi finals.

Hawick United moved up to third in Division A with a 2-0 win over Stow, with Kevin Strathdee scoring both goals.

Ancrum secured their third 6-1 win in a row by hammering Hawick Legion Rovers with Dean Jeffrey scoring three in Division C, and Selkirk Victoria defeated Tweeddale Rovers Colts.
