A PEEBLES footballer is preparing for his first Scottish Youth Cup final after helping his team beat Celtic.
Adam Matthews is part of the Longniddry Villa team that have caused several shocks on their way to the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie.
The talented 14-year-old wing-back began his football career in Peebles when he was only five.
As well as helping his team beat Celtic in the knock-out rounds, Adam's Longniddry Villa defeated Tynecastle last weekend in the semi-final 1-0.
They will now face Falkirk in the final on Sunday, May 20.
