Sources had linked the Whitestone Park side’s boss with a possible switch to Lothian Thistle.

O’Hara admitted he talked with the East of Scotland Premier League outfit’s coach Kevin Twaddle but insisted it was nothing to do with any move.

“Kevin and I are just good friends. I have not been offered any job and nothing has been decided,” he said. “I am not sure where the stories have come from but they are not right. I have to say that I am quite happy here at Peebles.” 0’Hara, the manager at Peebles since last July, was more concerned with preparations for his side’s away match with Berwick Rangers reserves tomorrow (Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm).

Rovers are lacking match practice, having not played since being thrashed 5-0 by Spartans on February 8.

“We had a free weekend last week and hoped to get a game this week but once again the ground was unsuitable,” said O’Hara.

“The bad weather has affected a lot of clubs. It’s far from ideal but the players have been able to keep training this week.” Peebles have found it tough going in recent games - before the Spartans match they suffered 4-0 and 5-0 defeats - but the boss is hopeful of an improved showing at Shielfield Park.

“We’ve got two wide players on-loan from Spartans available for the game and I’m hoping to have another player in on-loan before the game. There’s also two coming back from injury.

“Obviously they new men will have to adjust to the way we play but I think we are in a better position than we have been for a while.”
