Pride of place went to Kate Banner, in the nine and under age group, who finished second in the butterfly in a personal best time in the Falkirk Otter Mini Meet at Grangemouth.

Kate, who also swam in a freestyle event, was joined in the same age group by Mhairi Duncan who reduced her times in backstroke and breaststroke.

Isla Cross, Elouise Farndon and Abbie Sorrell swam in the 10 years age group. Isla reduced her time in all her three events - butterfly, breaststroke and freestyle. Elouise recorded a new best in the breaststroke and individual medley (IM) and took part in butterfly and freestyle.

Abbie reduced her time in the IM and also swam backstroke, 50m and 200m Freestyle.

At the East Lothian Swim Team novice meet Wendy Guiney and Madeline Collins swam in the nine and under age group. Wendy managed a new personal best in the backstroke and swam in butterfly, breaststroke and freestyle. Madeline reduced her time in the backstroke and breaststroke and took part in freestyle.

Rohan Hollingsbee, in the 10 years age group, achieved a new best in the backstroke and swam in breaststroke and freestyle. In the 11 years age group Samuel McLachlan - taking part in his first competition - swam well in all four strokes Abigail McAllister reduced her times in all four strokes.
