PEEBLES Ladies were denied a victory in their recent match against Stirling when the visitors scored a late equaliser.

The game got off to a quick start with a Peebles pass back and they were immediately on the offense. Play moved up the pitch with short passes between D Clark, M Whinston and Jo Cook. Into the opposition circle and only some quick defending saved a goal. The ball quickly made its way into the Peebles half but some strong tackles from S Brown, L McAllister and C Dick soon sent the ball back to the midfielders, A Dalgleish and E Thomas who worked it back up the pitch and a cross to D Clark saw a strong hit into the back of the goal. The opposition hit back with a goal taking the score to 1-1. More good passing between L Aitchison and J Cook took the ball back towards goal and crossed in but was deflected away. Peebles kept up the attack and with some nifty stick work from S Glendinning, success came with a half time score of 2-1. Stirling came back with renewed vigour after half-time and a high player caught the defense off guard meaning a score of 2-2. Peebles kept the fight strong and with super passes between J Allan, J Cook and H Woods the ball soon made its way back to the Stirling circle. Jo Cook took the ball in with a quick off pass to S Glendinning who slipped it past the goalie putting Peebles once more in the lead. Peebles continued to fight hard and some great saves from H Horsburgh in goals kept Peebles in the lead. But a late break and strong hit gave the opposition a late goal leaving the score at 3-3.
