BOWLERS from across the Borders descended on Peebles at the weekend for the annual Open Ladies Pairs competition.
Dot Lavin began, what turned out to be, a successful weekend by winning the tournament with Walkerburn’s Marlyn Buchan.
The duo beat Peebles pair Anne Carruthers and Myra Wignall in the final.
There was some great bowling in the sun and the rain.
Dot followed up the victory by helping her team to success at Kelso Ladies Open Triples competition - for the third year running.
The Peebles triple of Janet Brown, Lesley Crawford and Dot performed well all Sunday to claim the title.
