BROUGHTON and District Bowling Club held their annual Reid Triples competition, sponsored by Ratchill Logistics, on Saturday.
As well as bowlers from the local club, the tournament was well supported by bowlers from Peebles, Biggar, Walkerburn. Innerleithen, and Law.
After a good day’s bowling, the final was played between a Broughton team of Mike Masterton, Ian Hall and Sandy Howitt and a Law triple of R Williams, M Chalmers and B Williams (previous winners of the trophy).
A tense exciting final ended in victory for the Broughton Triple.
The trophy was presented by N Alonzi of Ratchill Logistics.
The club would also like to acknowledge the support of the community at their recent duck race, plant sale and cream teas event.
