THEY may not be in their first flush of youth but the Peebles over 35s showed plenty of vigour to defeat their Biggar counterparts.
In what is now an established fixture in the season, both sides were at full strength - if that is an accurate term to use for guys who for the most part last pulled on their boots in anger in the same match 12 months ago!
In the wind and rain at the Gytes Peebles came back strongly after Biggar opened the scoring through David Carvel.
The home side took the honours thanks to tries from Adam Clark, Njord Maciver and Trevor Keen.
The players retired to the Eastgate clubrooms where they enjoyed an excellent meal and some great craic.
