Peebles Orchestra hits a high note with neglected masterpiece New
MAGNIFICENT sounds and a near-capacity audience filled the Leckie Church last Saturday evening. The occasion was the Spring Concert by Peebles Orchestra, for which they were joined by the excellent Kelso-based Abbey Consort and a strong team of soloists for a rare performance of Mendelssohn's monumental oratorio, 'Paulus'.

THE acclaimed Peebles community choir InChorus will host and headline a very special fundraising concert in the town at the end of this month. In aid of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), it will take place in the town's Old Parish Church on Friday, May 31.
