YOUNGSTERS, already delighted during Imaginarium week are in for a special treat this weekend.

The Bothy Tales readings at this year’s Imaginarium children’s arts festival culminate in the visit of some serious cuties at the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles on Saturday, October 18.

Jean Macdonald, from Velvet Hall Alpacas, will read Horace the Miracle Alpaca, with every chance of a special appearance by one or two of her furry friends.

The free daily Bothy Tales readings take place between 12.10pm and 12.30pm every day and so far have featured Ailsa Corbishley, a retired midwife, reading My First Time with Our New Baby by Janine Amos; and Andy Weir from Ridelines mountain bike tuition reading Quentin Blake’s wonderfully eccentric Mrs Armitage on Wheels. Today’s reading is Doreen Cronin’s Dooby Dooby Moo read by farmer and Peebles Show supremo Robert Barr.
