PAUSING for breath while exuberantly entertaining the public at Whitmuir as part of the Rapt in Winter arts trail, members of community choir InChorus took time out to promote their Beat the Winter Blues concert. This will take place at Peebles Old Parish Church on January 31 at 7.30pm.

Assisting the choir in staging the charity event will be representatives from the Peeblesshire Youth Trust, the charity which works in partnership with schools and parents, offering support to children and their families.

Taking part on stage, alongside the choir, will be groups from Nomad Beat, the charity-run Peebles music school.

InChorus’ musical director Aly Skidmore said: “I am delighted that Nomad Beat has agreed to be part of the InChorus concert. There is a wealth of musical talent in Peeblesshire and it is great that music and charity groups can work together to put on a varied show for the community.” The choir promises some new pieces, some old favourites, and songs which have taken them in a slightly different direction. As always, InChorus assures audience members that they will be thoroughly entertained.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for concessions (pre-school children are free). These are available from choir members, and from Monday, January 5 at Graham McGrath, Eastgate, Peebles.
