Goosebumps Horrorland

Comments (1) | Print | Email

Nintendo Wii

Video game franchises have a lot to answer for - with games that otherwise wouldn't get made making it to our shop shelves and eventual Christmas stocking in part thanks to the name of a particular book/TV show slapped liberally across the front of it.

Goosebumps is one of those games, providing a collection of carnival style arcade games to work through while you make your way through the eponymous funfair Horrorland. As you advance through you unlock various new games - with spooky (ish) variations on shooting, riding, mini-golf and racing games.

There's more than 30 different things to play which means there's something for everyone, but a lot of the games are similar and many of them have controls so fiddly you'll want to throw your Wiimote out of the window.

One star (two if you absolutely love Goosebumps)

    R. L. Stine's books are chilling. I really like the twist endings. Here's a plot to think about: Mike and Addison love the Christmas Parade. Until they stay too long, and get locked in. But little do they know that everything in the parade isn't full of holiday cheer!
