Sign in to add a tributeI am sad to hear the news of Bob's passing. He had been on my mind for the last couple of weeks and over the Christmas period I tried to locate him on the internet, finally coming up with the notice in the Peeblesshire news.
You may not remember me, my name's Robert Mathews (also known as Bob) I worked for Marley at Maidenhead and was relief manager at Staines, while Bob was on leave. We became good friends, and I remember those football matches played in that big back garden of yours in Staines.
The last time we met, you had moved into a very nice house, close to the Thames and Bob was working for a National flooring company. Bob was a good friend and I always enjoyed his company.
Please accept my condolences to both yourself and your family, I know that Bob will be missed by many people outside of his family and hope that you are somehow managing at this very difficult time.
Kindest Regards,
Robert (Bob) Mathews.
